Verify Analytics Is Gathering Data Through Viewing Real-Time (Live!) Data

When we set up an analytics account on a website, we'll want to make sure that google analytics is actually gathering data from the site.

To do so, just head to your analytics.google.com account and view the Real-Time report. Then, visit your own website in another browser. If analytics is running correctly, you'll see one visitor pop up in the Real-Time report! How cool!

If you try this process out and do not see a visitor pop up, note that it can take up to an hour or so after installation for data to start appearing. But if it's been an hour of time and you still can't see visitors in the Real-Time view, you'll want to troubleshoot with us. Send us a request for help.
